Kindle books can work out expensive, as they are not much cheaper than regular books, and you're not able to resell or share as you would a traditional hardback. You also can't buy used ebooks, meaning every book you buy is brand new which can really get expensive when you love to read.

Free Amazon Kindle Books

Luckily there are many easy ways to acquire free ebooks. In this article, we will share with you a few different ways you can find free books online for your Kindle.

1 - Amazon Best Sellers Top 100 Free

The easiest way to get free Kindle books is via Amazon UK's own selection of free titles, which can be yours at the touch of a button.

We're always looking for the best deals over on the Amazon UK website which is where we come across the best sellers list. You will find a sneaky tab which you switch to get 100 completely free titles. The eBook list is updated hourly, so it's always worth checking back.

2 - Borrow from OverDrive

If you have a public library card (if you don't, sign up it's free), you can borrow eBooks from Overdrive. OverDrive is essentially your e-library, offering ebooks, audiobooks, and even streaming video for users to 'borrow' while using the app.

Although Overdrive is a worldwide app, currently there are only 50 libraries signed up in the UK, including libraries in Croydon, Leeds, and Derby. This will hopefully grow as the app takes off.

3 - Google Books

Like Amazon, Google also has a great list of 100 free ebook titles to choose from.

Some Google books may require you to convert them into a compatible kindle format. You can easily convert ebooks into any format using any of the free online conversion tools available. The book you choose must be DRM free.

4 - Family Share

One of the easiest ways to share e-books is through Amazon’s Family Library feature, which allows you to share books with your immediate family members.

Family Library lets up to two adults and four children share all or some of their Kindle books, apps, and audiobooks with one another for as long as you like..

5 - Project Gutenberg

A somewhat ugly and chaotic website, but free inventory nonetheless. Project Gutenberg is a library packed with over 60,000 free eBooks.

Thousands of volunteers digitized and diligently proofread the eBooks, for you to enjoy.

6 - The Internet Archive

8 - Smart Search

If you're looking for a particular title, there's a simple way to download any book for free, you just have to search the name of the book with "free pdf download" at the end.

For example "Brigerton free pdf download".  Although this won't work for every book, I have always been able to get hold of my required book so far, so it's definitely worth a shot.
