Restaurants, Pubs and Cafes where kids can eat free during the various UK 2023 school holidays. Supermarket cafes, chain restaurants and food venues all around the UK are offering the 'Kids Eat Free' or Kids eat for £1 deal during school holidays and savvy parents are hunting them out in order to keep the cost of going out down.

Places where Kids Eat Free (or for £1) during School Half Terms & Holidays in 2023

It's so hard keeping the kids entertained for long periods of time without spending a fortune. Here are all the restaurants and cafes that are offering 'Kids Eat Free' (or for £1) during every UK school holiday in 2023.

We will frequently update this article throughout the year, as one half-term ends, we will start adding to the next, so be sure to bookmark us and keep checking back. 

UK School Holidays

UK schools have 6 Half Terms that last between one and six weeks. 

> February Half Term - This is a one week school holiday, usually starting mid-Feb 

> Easter Holidays - This is a two week school holiday that depends on which day Easter falls, which is either early or mid-April. 

> May Half Term - This is a one week half term, which is usually the last week in May. 

> Summer Holidays - This is the longest half term, at a whopping 6 weeks and usually starts in late July until the first week of September

> Autumn Half Term  - This always coincides with Halloween and begins in late October

> Christmas Half Term This is a two week half term, that usually starts the last Friday before Christmas week.

Tesco Cafés

At Tesco cafes get one free Kids Hot Meal Deal, Kids Breakfast or Kids Pick ‘n’ Mix deal with each item bought by an adult from as little as 60p. Clubcard Needed!

England:  23rd Oct – 3rd Nov

Wales & NI: 30th October – 3rd Nov

Scotland: Start 16th Oct – 20th Oct

Asda Cafes

Kids eat for £1 All Day, Every Day at Asda cafes, with no adult spend required. The offer has been extended until the end of 2023.

Asda also provides FREE Ella's baby food pouches for children under 18 months old with any purchase.

Asda has now also just announced Half Price adult meals after 3pm, daily until December 31st 2023.

Morrisons

Kids eat free all day, every day in Morrisons cafes nationwide, daily with every adult meal over £4.49. This offer includes half terms. More information on Morrisons kids eat free offer can be found here.

Ask for Ellen is also BACK for October half term!  Get 2 Toasted Crumpets with Jam & Butter FREE at Morrisons Cafes until October 5th when you 'Ask for Ellen'

M&S Cafés

You can get a free Kid’s Munch Meal - Main, Snack and Drink (usually £4) when you spend £5 or more in a single transaction on non-kids food or drink at M&S Cafés (not available weekends)

TGI Fridays

Kids Eat Free all day every day When 'Stripes Rewards Members' purchase a full priced adult’s main meal. If you're not a Rewards Member, just book your table and then simply download the app before your visit. T&Cs here

YO! Sushi

From Monday 16th October - Friday 3rd November 2023 kids eat free all day at YO! Sushi when dining with a full-paying adult (minimum £10 spend). More information can be found here.

Beefeater

Two children get free breakfast with one paying adult! It has also been reported that if you sign up for their newsletter they send out a code for kids to eat free, but I haven't personally tried this. More information can be found here. 

Brewers Fayre

Up to two Kids (under 16) eat free, unlimited breakfast with any purchase of an adult's breakfast.  More Information can be found here. 

Sainsbury's Cafés

Sainsbury's Cafes offer one child hot meal or lunch bag for £1 with any adult main meal purchased over £5.20. This offer is on every day from 11:30am. Kid's mains include one main, 3 sides a drink and a piece of fruit. More information about the offer can be found here. 

Gordon Ramsay Restaurants

Bills

Sizzling Pubs

Between 3pm - 7pm (Monday to Friday ), kids eat for £1 with the purchase of every 1 adult main meal in Sizzling Pubs in England, Scotland and Wales. More information can be found here.

Hungry Horse

Kids eat for £1 when accompanied by a paying adult, on Mondays only at Hungry Horse. More information can be found here. 

Pausa Cafes at Dunelm

During School Holidays, for every £4 spent by an adult in the cafe, kids can enjoy one free mini main, two yummy snacks and a drink - across all menu items. The offer is running all day everyday, at Pausa Cafes at Dunelm. Find your Local
