Vouchers can only be used with bike repairers or mechanics that are registered for the scheme in England.

Only one voucher can be claimed per customer.

What work does the scheme cover?

Eligible repairs may include:

Repairing or replacing tyres, tubes, wheels and related components

Adjusting, repairing or replacing braking system components

Adjusting, repairing or replacing transmission system components (e.g. your gear mechanism or chain)

Repairing or replacing other essential components that prevent the bike from being used safely (e.g. deteriorated grips or saddle)

Repairing or replacing components for permanently fitted lighting systems (e.g. dynamo-powered lights)

How to Redeem your Voucher

To redeem your Fix Your Bike Government Voucher, follow the steps below:

Step 1 - Book your free bike assessment on this page at any point. During your booking process, you will be asked to enter your Government voucher number and to choose a date and time within the next 90 days that suit you.

Step 2 - Bring your bike, Government voucher, and approved form of identification to your chosen Halfords store. We’ll validate your Government voucher; this will cover all work up to £50. We will undertake a free 32-point bike assessment to identify any repairs or maintenance needed.

Step 3 - Approve the repairs and apply your £50 voucher towards the cost. Your mechanic will talk you through the repairs required and how you can put your voucher towards the cost of getting your bike back on the road. Your voucher will cover costs up to £50, however, you will need to cover any additional costs above this. Once you have agreed, your mechanic will order any parts required to fix your bike.

Step 4 - Book a repair appointment in-store at a time that is convenient for you. You can either leave your bike at your local store or bring it back at the time of your repair appointment with our bike mechanic.

Step 5 - Collect your bike. We’ll call to inform you when your bike is ready for collection. The voucher will cover the first £50 of your repairs and you can simply pay the difference if your repairs cost more than this.
